Driver killed father and son

Defendant Imran Hussain, 32 of Bradford West Yorkshire was remanded into custody until December 8 when he pleaded guilty at Bolton Crown Court to causing the deaths of Gary and James Proctor by dangerous driving.

The defendant was arrested at the scene of the crash involving Hussain's Audi Quattro and the victims' Fiat Punto on the westbound carriageway of the M62 between junctions 19 and 20, close to Birch Services

Hussain also admitted being more than twice the legal drink-drive limit, giving a reading of 76mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 30mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.

Judge Andrew Blake said: "It is inevitable that a substantial prison sentence will follow."
