A 19-year-old old woman pleaded guilty to motoring offences following an incident in Bicester last summer.
The individual concerned, from Hambleside, Bicester, was fined a total of £445, ordered to pay £85 costs and given nine points on her driving licence after appearing at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday 21 February 2014 and pleading guilty to the charge of failing to stop and the charge of careless driving following an incident in Bicester last year.
On 14 August 2013 the motorist was driving a vehicle in Shakespeare Drive when it crashed through a garden fence and into a bungalow belonging to an elderly couple in Chaucer Close. The collision resulted in serious damage to their conservatory.
An officer of Bicester Roads Policing Team commented stating:
“The woman failed to stop at the scene of the accident and did not come forward straight away. The family suffered extensively in terms of worry and stress so I hope the conclusion of this case will mean they can move on from this incident.”
