Britain’s worst drivers can be found in Smethwick, in the West Midlands, official figures have revealed.
It has been reported the town has more disqualified drivers than anywhere else in the country, while Harpenden in Hertfordshire has the most law-abiding motorists.
Of all the 20,194 licence holders in Smethwick, 160 (or 0.77 per cent) have been banned from the road, according to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
Nearby West Bromwich was a close second with 191 of its 26,101 licensed drivers (0.73 per cent) barred from climbing behind the wheel.
Tied for second was Barking in east London, where 164 out of 22, 591 motorists were disqualified.
