Norfolk Police have unveiled a new Porsche Cayman GT4
Norfolk Police have unveiled a new Porsche Cayman GT4 in an attempt to promote road safety in the county. The car; which was unveiled in the Cathedral Close last week, has been donated by Lind Trust – a local charity which supports the development of young people in Norfolk.
Simon Bailey, Norfolk’s Chief Constable said that he hopes:
“the car will act as a conversation starter, which gives the Police the opportunity to engage with people”.
Norfolk Police will use the car at events, schools and colleges in order to teach and promote road safety to young drivers.
Clearly, engaging with the younger generation is high on the Norfolk Police’s agenda with statistics showing that 61 young drivers have lost their lives, and another 504 suffered serious injury on Norfolk’s roads in the past five years.
